ABOUT US

CS Tips encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime in Mission.

One of the many programs that the Mission Police Department embodies itself with is the Mission Crime Stopper Program. Mission Crime Stoppers primary purpose is to obtain information on wanted, persons, crimes, and criminal activity. In turn the program provides rewards for anonymous cooperation. Mission Crime Stoppers consists of a voluntary civilian Board of Directors with their Executive Director and a police coordinator. The Mission Crime Stoppers program depends on fund-raisers and contributions from the public for operating revenues. Mission Crime Stoppers program is led by Investigator Romeo Ortega.

How does Mission Crime Stoppers work?

To ensure the tipsters anonymity no names are used. All calls are kept confidential. Mission Crime Stoppers Board of Directors determines the amount of the tip to be paid out and the arrangements of how the tipsters receives their rewards. Rewards are not paid until the information is verified. This program has been an effective tool in solving a number of crimes in our community. Callers can be eligible for a cash reward up to a $1,000.00.

If you have any information on a crime or a wanted fugitive, call Mission Crime Stoppers at (956) 581-8477. The phone is available on a 24 hour basis.

Rewards can only be paid out when you tip helps to solve any unsolved crime, leading to an arrest and charges filed on the person responsible. Rewards will not be paid out when the information is already known to the police.

YOUR TIP INFORMATION must play a key role in helping to solve any unsolved crime, recovery of drugs or the capture of a wanted felon.
